- about me -

My name is Lacey and I am a licensed clinical social worker in Michigan and Illinois. I received my degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2015 and have been a therapist since 2019. I believe that wellness is grounded in self care, respect, and love which creates the foundation for my approach. I partner with people to be curious about the systems in which they live and be proactive about pursuing growth and alignment with self. I join with people's inner healing wisdom and offer my presence as one of perspective, non-judgement, helpful challenge, and accountability to create a space that facilitates change.

I take an eclectic approach that utilizes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy and Psychedelic Integration but also recognize the value and significance of spirituality, mindfulness, embodiment, plant medicine, ancestral connection, connection with nature and other non western conceptualizations of growth and healing. I recognize that the deep wisdom of many of these practices have been de-emphasized, discredited, and also co-opted by colonialism and capitalism. It is my desire to respectfully honor and reattune to the wisdom of our bodies, the land, and our ancestors to shift the pathology off the individual and onto the systemic and colonial structures that create much of the mental health struggles today.

I work with adults and couples experiencing depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationship issues, parenting struggles, and self-exploration.

I recognize that many 'diagnoses' are understandable reactions to the overbearing capitalist and colonial systems that we live in and therefore seek to support people in their journey towards growth, healing, and attunement with self.
